Empowering Education: Building Dreams of Pursuing Higher Education for the Ethnic Children in Lao Cai, Vietnam

              WHAT WE DO

Online English Classes

English has become widely used in Vietnam, and by providing English classes to students in Lao Cai, we hope to provide an opportunity for students to learn and improve their conversational English skills, which is necessary for their future success.

Empowerment Projects

Through projects such as water buffalo/tractor donations and classroom enhancement, families are encouraged and financially empowered to be able to send their kids to school instead of having them work on the farms,  Opening doors for a future in high education.

Leadership Trainining

By providing leadership training to students in Lao Cai, we hope to build a culture of learning and education in Lao Cai, and to equip these students with the necessary skills to be the future leaders of their communities

Local Community

Based in North Richland Hills, Texas, project 85 offers local students a glimpse into another culture across the world and a chance to make a difference globally.

This is our story

We are a team of highschool students who have a desire to make an impact on the lives of ethnic children in the underserved communities of Lao Cai, Vietnam through educational empowement projects.

Our founder, Eli Holdeman, went on his first humanitarian trip to Vietnam with Glocal Ventures Inc. (GVI)  when he was almost 14. Since then, he has come back a few more times and wanted to contribute to GVI's effort of alleviating poverty in Vietnam by creating a space where highschool students can come together to make a difference. Project 85LC was born as a result of such effort.
